Sunday Night update....

We're home! dad had a good afternoon. He was moved into an alternating air mattress bed to relieve the pressure on his back. It's very painful for him to turn, so this mattress will channel the air and alternate the pressure so he doesn't have to be turned. He's putting out a lot of fluid, which is very good, and he's starting to deflate. The surgical staff is happy.

He's still saying that he annoyed the staff, but Mom has no idea why. Once he can talk again, maybe we'll get a better idea. He keeps asking how long he'll be in the ICU- we're taking it one day at a time. He watched "Elf" today and was laughing- a very good sign.

We had a great afternoon- Maryann and Shane met us in the Inner Harbor for lunch- it was a big family day for us! Thankfully our trip home was quick and uneventful.
