For
those of you who are interested, I 'd like to post updates as we
progress on the house. Since 257 Beach 127 has been the home to so
many of you, I think it's important to see the changes being made in a
more timely fashion. Please feel free to comment and ask questions if
pictures or descriptions are not clear. I will begin with before
pictures. Before we started on the second floor and before Sandy.

| Welcome Home! Come on in. |
| Siobhan's Bedroom. Dressers made there way around the room. |
| Siobhan's bed. She really loved that bed. |
| Bye Bye Bed. |
| Our Bedroom. Our computer cabinet. Man that thing was heavy. |
| We loved our be too. Also extremely heavy. |
| Fridge blocked the hallway. Heavy. ( I see a theme.) |
| Kitchen |
| Kitchen |
| Pantry. Monica loved that washer and dryer. So much love. |
| Living Room. The window on the right is the only one that blew in. We found a huge planter in the bedroom that made it's way in. It may have been the cause. |
Treadmill. Entertainment cabinet. Beautiful Sideboard we saved from the attic when we
renovated the first time in 1999. |

| Clean up time!! |
| Yuck! |
That shop vac was used in the early stages of water coming in.
It didn't make it. |
Adding insult to injury we lost over 50% of what we moved to the POD in the weeks leading up to the storm. We were set to move up the following weekend. Sandy had other plans.
| We tried to salvage items at first... |
| ...we soon gave up. |
Siobhan lost many a toy that day. Don't get me wrong she still has plenty.
There were even a few boxes ready to be donated. Who knew. |
| Books |
| Comics |
| How to... |
Gutting Time!!! We got all the stuff out but I was able to get a crew in to gut the place.
It was a race against the mold. This was Siobhan's room |

| Kitchen |
| We brought everything we thought we could salvage from the kitchen into the back yard. Oh yeah... that's the pool in the background. It didn't make it. |
| Storage under the kitchen. Lawn mower, leaf blower and trimmer etc. |
| Chest Freezer |
| eeeewwwwwwee! |
| Pile |
| More pile |
| Then there's my shed |
| Tools and tools and storage and...oh right, tools. |
| and records? Yep, my DJ years were over many years ago, but Sandy made sure of it. |
| Here is one of our greatest loses. We had the player piano from my childhood stored in the shed. It needed a bunch of TLC before the storm, but now...we just don't know. We don't have the heart to get rid of it...yet. |
| In an ironic twist of fate, this was the piano roll that was left in the piano. I kid you not. | | | | |
O.K., enough rehashing the bad, up next...moving forward.
