Movin' On Up!!

MOVIN' ON UP!!

With the completion of the basement, we could finally start working on the second floor so we can get out of the attic and into separate bedrooms. I know Siobhan can't wait to have her own space again and the feeling is mutual.

Here's a look at the 2nd floor before work started.  The rooms are close to empty, which is a sight to see on it's own.

Going up!  We will eventually remove the beautiful orange carpet and hope for something better underneath.

Windows on the landing will be raised so they no longer pose a threat coming down the stairs.

Front room bay side.  Left window will be removed and door will be flipped to other side of window. The MONSTER radiator will be taken out as well.  That's a lot of heat!!

Front room ocean side.  All windows will be made smaller.  The ocean side windows will be a set of 4 set high so we can place our bed underneath.

Linnen closet.  This will be transformed into a beverage center.  A small fridge for water and other  treats.

Middle bedroom, ocean side.  This will be Siobhan's new bedroom.  The closet will be walled up  but a passthrough will be opened leading into the back bedroom.  This will be  for play, sitting etc.  Oh to be Siobhan.

Aaaah the bathroom.  Thee's really nothing in here we want to keep.

Back of the house.  Straight back will be upstairs laundry.

Back room, ocean side.  This door will be closed up and will be Siobhan's room part 2.

Windows will be smaller and start higher.

Closet will be part of laundry.

Back room, Bay side.  This room will become an office.  Windows will be smaller and a door will be added
leading onto a, future, small back porch.
